Dr. Graham Fraenkel

Dr Fraenkel graduated from the Flinders University among the top few in his class. He has studied in Australia, England and the USA. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists. Dr Fraenkel is a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons.

He is a Senior Clinical Lecturer with the University of Adelaide teaching cataract and corneal surgery.

Dr Fraenkel special interests are in the areas of cataract surgery, refractive & corneal surgery. He has published an impressive list of academic papers and participated in a number of research projects. Dr Fraenkel has also established an enviable reputation as a lecturer.

Dr Fraenkel was the first Ophthalmologist in Australia to join The Fred Hollows Foundation’s International Mentoring and Fund Raising Programme. As a result he donates a portion of his surgical fee for each operation he performs to facilitate one sight restoring cataract operation in a developing country.
