Membership

It is proposed that Membership will be open to all private and autonomous Ophthalmologists, Ophthalmic Day Surgeries and Laser Centres, that are non-listed companies. Membership for companies in corporatised medicine listed on the Stock Exchange is considered inappropriate as, by nature of their focus on Shareholder returns, they have a differing set of objectives and a differing agenda to private practice.

Membership Benefits

Annual membership to ION will provide the following benefits:

  • Monthly email or print newsletter containing industry-specific news, events and advertisements
  • Access to the ION Member Forums - A great place to participate in industry-specific online discussions and to share resources, such as:

    • Online Surveys and Polls
    • Links to Information Sources
  • Access to a lobby group to act on behalf of independent practitioners
  • Support in the recruitment and mentoring of recent fellows into private practice
